Tooth pain is one of the more serious types of pain someone can experience. While the majority of people who complain that their teeth hurt do so because they have been diagnosed with tooth decay or a gum disease, there are other reasons why someone would experience tooth or mouth pain, i.e. bruxism, tooth trauma, a bad bite. If the person experiencing the discomfort or pain also has a fever, a bad taste in their mouth, a lot of swelling or difficulty swallowing, then a dental appointment should be made as soon as possible.
